Why We Specialize in Light Tackle Fishing
At Islander Sportfishing,
we view light tackle fishing as an advantage. Lighter,
smaller lines are less visible to the fish, making it
more likely they'll bite the bait since they don't see
a heavy line sticking out of it.
Light tackle also makes
fishing fun, challenging and exciting. It's more sensitive
to the fisherman's feel, providing the greatest action
and enjoyment so you feel the fish's fighting actions
rather than just cranking in the fish on a large, heavy
tackle reel.
You can also hold the
rod while waiting on a bite. Then, when you feel the
strike, set the hook and immediately start fighting
the fish. On top of great Hawaii fishing there's the

Keep Your Fishing Catch
Most Hawaii sport/deep
sea fishing charters send you home with only a dinner
portion of fish. Not us. Islander Sportfishing allows
you to take as much of your fishing catch as you
desire. We'll even filet and bag your fish for
you. We just ask that you take only what you'll eat
or share with your family and friends.
